Annying Passenger seatbelt warning

My 06 D3 gives a seatbelt waring with nothing on the Passenger seat?
I need to clip the seatbelt in to get rid of the warning.
Where and how can I disable this Passenger warning?
Please advise.

With the ignition on clip and unclip your seatbelt 9 times and this will disable the bonging...however the light will still remain on..... Very Happy

I’ve started having this problem too recently, but only after somebody has sat in the seat.

It’s particularly prevalent after somebody has used the seat with the heater element on.

In the beginning all it took was a light tap on the seat to turn it off, but now it’s taking several hard thumps to extinguish the light and stop the ‘Bonging’.
This morning it was worse than ever.

The light is as annoying as the 'Bonging' so want to do it properly.

Does anyone have any images of the sensor showing what it looks like, its location etc so I can attempt a repair?

Thanks

Nasher.

Half-inch square piece of gaffer tape sorts the light.

I aparently spent far too much time in my youth listening for weak radio signals through headphones and now have "high frequency hearing loss". If I could put it in bottles it would sell great through the forum shop as I hardly notice all the various noises now - or annoying screechy female voices in the pub.

No Farmer Chalk - the 9 x does not help at all Smile
Rockrawler - how did you disable your passenger seat belt warnings?
Please advise,

Ronster, it does work, try again. Ignition on, you need to makes sure the buckle goes fully out each time and within 10 seconds for the lot. Thumbs Up

IMy wife is excused seat belts (medical reasons) and the seat belt warning was driving me more bonkers than usual.

I got an old seat belt clip from a scrap yard and simply plug it in to the receiver. If you wish to carry a passenger (other than my wife) just remove it and use the belt in the normal way.

Afterwards, replace the spare clip.

Happy New year to all.

Gunner.
