I read the thread from our group insurance sponsor a few weeks ago ....
He seems pretty knowledgable and willing to help ..... re insured mine one month prior to reading it and wish I had phoned or realised earlier ... 
Must be worth a try  D4 Front upgrade/cut back wings n things 'taking a long time but getting there'.
D4 rear upgrade - Narpys helped with that bit
Flack for problem solving and D4 Bluetooth Install/ D4 Heated Steering wheel with Flappy paddles n BBS enabling kit

Happy Ending. Eventually I spoke with someone at Directline who was much more reasonable and he actually apologised for their initial attitude and stance. I received a full refund with no deductions and am now enjoying the extra 49bhp and fully insured (with LV via Nationwide) lesson learned!! Autologic remap, Superpro front lower bushes. Privacy Glass. 4x4 info enabled. Now sitting on Michelin Cross Climate SUV tyres. New Borg Warner turbo Nov 2014. Recon gearbox 2019.
