Forgot to check it out on the test drives but, according to the pages of TopGear Mag , the Disco 3 is meant to be iPod compatible. If this is so were do you plug it in as I did not notice anything when I was in the car.
Also does the stereo display take over from the iPod?
Cheers.

Top Gear opened up a can of worms with that comment.....
There is an aux port under a flap at the rear of the center console. You can plug any compatible audio device into the 3.5mm jack and listen to it by selecting aux on the head unit. Though apparently this is not possible on the base models though as I believe that they have an aux button but no correspoinding port!
So yes it is iPod compatible but only on a basic level. No doubt kit to allow iPod control from the head unit will appear at some stage

Sorry could nt resist..the D£ and the RRS both have a aux port in the back of the armrest with the rear seat air vents and heated seat controls.
I have made myself a nice little home made dension version using a denison cradle striped out and then installing a Belkin auto kit into it.although you have to do a bit of soldering to do this.. I have then installed a female power socket behind the glove box to pwer this, I have then run a 3.5mm audio lead from the Belkin kit to the back of the head unit on the d3..when i moved it to my RRS i couldnt get the radio out so i have piggy backed it onto the back of the connector on the back of the armrest...it has the look of a full desion installation but doesnt have the steering wheel controls. however on long journeys i get over this by using a griffin air click RF wireless remote control that has a steering wheel mount included.
Hope this helps......pictures of the version one that was installed in the D3 are in my gallery and i will try and take some pictures of the Verison 2 installed in the RRS.

There's also a UK legal version of an FM transmitter coming out soon. Said to be far better than ones available today.

It'd have to be - the ones I've heard are pretty iffy (although given our lines of work, you, me and Woodman are likely to be more fussy about this than most!)

Of course... heard it was MUCH better so fingers crossed. 10's post about Dension was interesting though... depending on costs to buy and fit.
Interesting that their site mentions the LR Freelander... not convinced the current car uses MOST... so maybe they have infos on the new model due next year ?
