Charge voltage when running
Installed second battery in rear NS quarter with Bluesea battery combiner (used on previous D3 no problems) ran new cable to rear and used neg connection to chassis Voltage on idle 12.6V tested on combiner (main engine side) and also checked again on main battery, combiner not coming in as it needs 13.01 V to switch on.
Surely the charging voltage should be up to 13.5v at least
6 months old D4 everything working no errors
Any ideas

The D4 charging system is very different to the D3 and varies its strategy to reduce the load on the alternator and increase mpg; it is also not looking to achieve a full charge. I can see how this could be challenging for some set-ups but would need someone like drivesafe to comment.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948
