Noticed recently my D3 has started pulling quite badly to the left. I've not crashed through any potholes or anything like that, so not sure what's happened. On a straight bit of road at a low speed you can see the steering wheel turning slightly!
Took it to a local garage and they tracked the wheels for me, but after a day of driving it's back as bad as ever. They said they couldn't see anything else wrong, but I've not got 100% confidence in them!
Steering feels a bit different as well ,especially on motorways when taking a moderate bend. Last night it actually felt like the steering was trying to oversteer into the bend a bit. Nearly a change of underwear required at one point.
Any ideas what the cause might be...bushes gone, bearing??

Hopefully they checked the front wheel bearings tie rod ends etc. etc. before they did the tracking. Mine started pulling to the left slightly, and I found that my left hand wheel bearing was shot. I replaced them, and all is fine now.
Cheers

Mine does this too..... at v slow speed ....
John P How much did it cost approx., D4 Front upgrade/cut back wings n things 'taking a long time but getting there'.
D4 rear upgrade - Narpys helped with that bit
Flack for problem solving and D4 Bluetooth Install/ D4 Heated Steering wheel with Flappy paddles n BBS enabling kit
Disco Mikeys work - Serviced, EGR blanking and 4x4 software upgrade, 3 flash indicators.
B.A.S - FBHIC. Uncle Rays spare wheel protector. Beanie Silver Black badges.

I bought the Timken bearings and did the job myself. I think I paid about £100 for each bearing. Can't remember exactly how much. Check Steves website.

No, not got any grinding noises. I asked them after they'd done the tracking if they'd checked everything else and they said they had. Not sure if I believe them though!
Maybe try another garage just to have them look and see if there's anything obvious. Never buy a stupid dwarf, it's not big and it's not clever!

Update...well it might be related??
I went out to the car this morning after leaving it on 'access' height overnight. I'd also left the 4x4 info screen on and when I started up the car this morning, on the diagram there are 4 small white markers showing above each tyre, well the one showing above the front left tyre on the diagram was flashing red. Once raised to standard height it stopped flashing.
Any idea what this means and whether it could be causing the pull to the left? Never buy a stupid dwarf, it's not big and it's not clever!

FWIW...my rig pulled dramatically to the left after I had rotated the tires. No issues prior. At highway speeds it approached a level close to dangerous. Also, it was significant enough that I believe the yaw sensors wouldn't allow the tranny to shift into high.
Jacked the rig up, checking for play in bearings or links...no problem found. Just to notice how the dirt was sticking to the tread in an uneven manner. Turned out the internal belts were giving way along the inside edge of the tread. Didn't cause much if any problems when on the rear, but when moved to the front it became noticeable...very noticeable. LR -- 2005 LR3 -- Zambezi Sliver
