Rear upper arms - MOT Failure?

Having had a degree of rear end bump steer for sometime now I was surprised when my Discovery sailed through its MOT Test earlier this month (without any advisories)

My interpretation of bump steer is that feeling of your back end twitching when hitting uneven ground.

Anyway Geoff. & Kris (Woody32) had agreed sometime back that when they could spare a day together they will come and look at my rear end Shocked

Last Saturday they both kindly came to Southampton for the day to sort me out, my rear upper arm bushes were completely shot, every bolt needed to be cut through and when the arms were removed the rear bush (on both sides) just fell out!

Should this pass an MOT - I think not!

To add a little more frustration what I thought was rear wheel bearing noise turned out to be about 10mm of movement in my NSF wheel bearing, worst Geoff had seen.

Nobody wants a big bill from a MOT test but I want safe cars & vans....different place next time!

Ahha,

can see why you an expert on these then, if yours fell out mine must be Censored Censored , and it passed with advisory, so guess the air hacksaw will be in action. Rolling with laughter
