If I buy the IID tool BT now will the 2.19 update be free for upgrade on the 2.18 tool?

Hi Guys

I had a feeling this question would come up, we are indeed in February! The expected beta release date for V2.19, which we have now renamed V3.0 was indeed the end of January. Since we are still polishing it, we will postpone the beta release but not by much. We should have something ready in the coming days or so, stay tuned!

Ready: Yes, if you purchase a BT unit with V2.18 in it, you will be able to update it to V3.0, free of charge.

Even better news than I expected. I'm on 2.18, a 2.19 release is only 0.01 better, but a version 3? That's a full whole number better Smile

Take your time and release it when it's ready to be released. But to be honest, I just checked an hour ago to see if there was a new update..

Not had chance to do a full Beta report for GAP yet but for anyone waiting on this….


It's worth waiting for!


My first impression is one of speed. Via the new GAP Control App the menus, options and live data are instant - very impressive indeed. The interface is slick with a few nice touches that give a hint at where this tool is going. For the D4 users there are a few more sought-after options and capabilities too.

Not had a chance to try the VIN-free capabilities yet or the multi-model features.

Cannot wait to test it further but unfortunately I have a group of nine 13&14 year old girls coming to stay the night as part of my daughter's birthday celebrations. En masse they scare the crap out of me!

More to come as and when GAP are content.

I like the idea of it being faster to respond..

I can't download the app on mine .. There looking into it for me ( dodgy jailbreak Laughing )

Quick look at the software in car .. Looks great .

I like the ability to read the software versions on modules Thumbs Up G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

I plug in the IID, open the app, it connects and is ready pretty much straight away My D3 Build Thread
