I went for it after having the even rarer Lugano Teal D3 , and didnt want one of the hundreds of grey, silver or black ones (too common )
I didnt see many others until after buying it, and then a guy who lives about 800yds from me (round corner) has a MY13 one - .

My Freelie (3 yrs old now) has it. I ordered it in that colour 'cos the one I wanted suddenly wasn't available (damn Japanese nuclear plants
I've grown to like it very much. Always looks good, clean or dirty. And helps the resale value too.

Personally speaking you have a list of musts, wants and don't wants when buying, and colour falls into the latter two for when it's second hand and other, higher priority, issues take precedent like price, condition, history, etc.
It would have to be something REALLY awful colour wise to stop me buying a second hand motor if it ticks all the other boxes first and foremost. Know too many people who've bought right old mutters "cos the colours great"
I have turned down cars on colour, sort of, knowing its a model sold in their 1000's so plenty of choice or it's a cheap runabout readily available anytime I wanted a certain type/model
I'd even buy a Maya Gold one...............Maybe......

The problem with asking opinions is that people who have that colour will be almost completely positive and others will come in (like me!) who don't like it. It's what works for you that matters, practically all Disco colours (red aside) are bland so no need to worry.
I've got a Corris Grey Disco on order. Fully expect some people to tell me it is too safe but it will work well in the country so it suits me.

Agreed, when I was changing mine earlier this year a couple of indies offered me less for the Ipanema than they would have for a 'safer' colour. However I got a bid I was happy with in the end
Just something else to bear in mind

My dad had a new Rover SD1 in a very similar colour in the late '70's - I remember being very excited as a young teenager washing and polishing it for him and vacuuming the teddy bear velour interior!
