Door protection for D3?
Hi all, I have just bought a nice shiny D3 which my wife has taken to Tesco and returned with a ding in the door... parked too close to another car I guess..
Can anyone recommend/point me in the right direction of a set of rubber door trims (like I have on my old D2 - they seem to be just stuck on and protect the doors) Do landrover do these for the D3?

Farmerboy these sort of dents can be be removed and the results can be very good . Have a search for dent removal . Be careful though as like everything there is good and bad .
I had mine done when I first bought it and now it's dent free . You're not afraid of the dark are you ?

Consider side steps, they give good protection particularly if left in off road height, they cost little more than side mouldings and the ladies and children will appreciate them It can when others can't,

I put steps on mine and I raise the suspension so those inconsiderate barstewards bang their car doors on my side steps 1997 BMW R1100GS

Same here - Steps fitted and up into off road height when parking in car parks.

Personally I prefer the door trims, I got a genuine LR kit from TLO a couple of years ago and they've proved to be invaluable.

I've fitted them about an inch or two higher than the instructions suggest, mainly to provide a bit more protection against this kind of thing.
Just consider though, quite a few "door dings" originate from clumsy/not-bothered people getting out of the back of a car and due to the profile of the rear door outer edge, will hit a lot higher so none of these measures would help against that Clive

Looks good - I think I may go for the side steps and door mouldings as they seem to make those big slab sided doors look a bit more attractive. The only real solution is to stop my wife driving it though.... I can dream...
