HI Ben,

I did mine yesterday. I saw my Censored a little bit as it is a quite a job but with the right tools not too bad. I used a reciprocating saw in the end which worked perfectly.

I followed http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic61753.h...r+wishbone which helped a lot.

If you want I can come through and help you... Where in york are you?

Its luck of the draw really, both sides of my D3 came out in one piece, good luck.

Had them replaced at my dealer last week.

The most time saving trick is to lift the body 10cm from the chassis.

It took them 4 1/2 hours including 4 point alignment, coffeebreak and test drive.......

I replaced mine a couple of years back, and never had to raise the body. Shocked

The bolts at the chassis end were reluctant to come out of the bushes, but I managed in the end. The real pains were the outboard bolts, which were completely seized. In the end I had to replace the hub carriers as well (not such a bad thing, as the bearings were on their way out anyway) ...

Oh, and don't forget to get the alignment checked afterwards. Wink

Mick

3" disc cutter to cut the arms off. Same again for the alloy sleeve.
4.5" grinder to cut the bolt is 2, and turn/lever the bolt head out

Probably the quickest way to do it, if the bolts are seized

Thumbs Up

Yes I got arms and all bolts. Not very well thought out having to disconnect brake pipes and re bleed just to change arms!

It's not a difficult thing to do just doesn't seem as though it was thought through when designed!
