Hi Ben

I had to change my sump due to a hole rusting in it, easy job did it in extended mode

protection plate comes off easy just a bit heavy
drain oil
the connector on the side of the sump can be a pain to get off and is worth taking your time
loosen bolts drop sump (its a good opportunity to see if there is any gunk and god forbid any metal shavings in the bottom of the sump just to make sure there is no engine wear)
clean the face on the bottom of the engine of any old gasket
position new gasket on sump screw bolts back in when I did mine used all new ones they were penny's compared to rounding a head and not been able to tighten
may as well change the oil filter at the same time
new oil in

cup of tea time!

Good man bcleugh, thanks.
Is there a recommended torque for tightening the bolts, or just 'good and tight'?
Where did u get your new bolts from?
Thanks

bolts just from the dealer when i picked the pan up, cant remember the exact price but saves the hassle of not been able to pull them up, 10 nm sounds right, don't over tighten or you could damage the gasket and have a further leak in the future
