Battery which one and where

I'm still on my original battery, it's a 57 Plate so I'm guessing that I'm about due one ?
Plus all the little gremlins that a dud throws up will be a real pain for my none techy self to begin to contemplate so in my quest to rectify most issues before they begin what I need to know is this ?

Which battery do I need ? I know from last years cold snap that some advertised as D3 fit we're actually too big ?
What's the best one ? Make, fit, warranty ? I'm not after the cheapest fix but the one that will give the most service and minimal amount of greif ?

Cheers

I got my D3 battery from tayna.co.uk. A varta one with a 5 year warranty

But this one is showing as an equivalent : 019 Enduroline Car Battery 100Ah 950CCA with a 4 year warranty.

I have a couple of enduroline leisure batteries and they have been very good so far.

The d3 varna battery was good for the 3 years on the car and performed well even down to minus 20c

BOG Batteries here:

But collect only at present. Courier network?

Eurocarparts might be your best bet?

I changed mine the other weekend and read the reviews looked at best prices etc etc and thought I can't be arsed with this and went to Halfords and got a Bosch with 5 year warranty fitted for about £130.

Job done in 20 minutes Thumbs Up

Is there really any point in paying for an AGM battery when the D3 doesn't use stop/start technology? Shocked

..VARTA arent bargain basement

.....suggest SYBS (South Yorkshire Battery Services) in Leeds...very competent & dont push you into something you dont need...all they do is Batteries & CTEK's

I would go back there when I need to....on the end of the M621 link dual carriageway to the city at the Football stadium r'bout

Good Luck !

D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.
