Lee,

Harley Street NCP is also VERY tight even in Access Mode... only reason I breathed a sign of relief this week was when I saw another DISCO3 down there.

One confusing thing is the height quoted on the drivers sun visor is not the same as the one in the manual or on the web site... seems higher than quoted every where else.

Anyone know the real height at Access Mode and Normal ?

I'd go for which ever is highest Very Happy

Don't forget to add an inch on if you've got roof rails and a couple more inches if you've got the phone antenna thingy

10forcash MUST have seen this out in the middle east !

Happens a lot round here now. It the new sheep craze of 4x4 Surfing. Must take some photos one day as no one will believe they can and actually do do this.

As most of you are either city gents or town folk you probably have never come across any sheep have you... mmm I thought of rephrasing that but... what the heck. Leave my self open for more abuse from Slimer, BN and 10forcash !

Back when I used to work on 't farm we had a Guernsey cow that used to get in the back of a 110 pickup. Apparently she was a poorley calf, was hand raised and used to go all over the farm in the back, kind of got into the habit of it and still hauled herself in there regulary when she weighed the best part of a ton!

And there longer legs will help them climb up the side of the car too and hold onto the roof rails.

Spain 2005 Discovery 3 4.4 V8 HSE Auto Tangiers OrangeDiscovery 3

I have just collected my new TDV6 SE MY 2007 Disco from the dealers this afternoon. I have found to my dismay that I do not have a settings menu! I have this on my RRS HSE and I expected it to be standard on the SE Disco. I will be phoning the dealers in the morning for a software fix!

Also, despite speaking fluent Spanish I much prefer the info display in English. I suppose the dealer has to do this also as I have no SATNAV fitted.

Cheers,

Chay

Here in Romania that is small fry - you regularly see cows, horses children etc on the back of pickups - usually the ubiquitous Dacia (Renault 11) modified as a pickup. The animals seem quite happy standing up with a rope holding them against tha car. Sorry no photos, I'll look out for the next one! Haven't seen a horsebox as the dacia makes it unnecessary!

The Euro SE spec D3 doesn't have a memory module and as a result, doesn't have a settings menu.

Hi Chay,

It is a dealer-only modification.... Evil or Very Mad I was tempted to get it done, but I'm worried about what could happen if my father-in-law borrows the car and doesn't understand the messages telling him to stop urgently Very Happy

Just spotted this in your signature:

I built a Mini 15 years ago with a 1380cc stage 2 engine....104bhp and that car went like sCensoredt off a shovel.....

178bhp in a Mini???? On a power-to-weight ratio, that would be like a 500bhp D3 Very Happy Thumbs Up

Just spoken with my dealer. He's going to upgrade the software for me and adjust the menus.

He has also ordered me a set of load sensors so we can modify the ride height Smile

My friend has an identical car to mine and he does have the settings menu enabled. I guess the Spanish spec cars are 'Special' Razz

BTW they are a PRO version. This is basically a tax fiddle to save 12% tax and offset 16% VAT. Also being good mates with the owner of the dealership helps us to get massive discounts on cars and parts. Our D3s cost 38.000 Euros. (SE version) Non-pro SE same spec costs 48.000 Euros.
