ARB - are they past it?
Hi all,
Mot a week on Wednesday and I've noticed an ever worsening clunking from the front end. Could it be my arbs? They seem to be rattling nearly constantly when driving on our country bumpkin roads... I've attached a pic of each one - for what use it is!!
Cheers
Will

Do they rattle or give when you pull on the ARB?
They do look a little tired in the photo but the easiest way to diagnose an unknown clunk is to clamp a video camera underneath and go for a drive!Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Hard to tell from a photo, you need it up in the air with a pry bar to check things for play and I think Id be looking at checking ball joints and suspension bushes as they are a common wear item.

Cheers Robbie. I'll have a clunk test tomorrow. Do you know how much they are?
I can imagine the call to ee insurance 'what were you doing at the time of you dropping and driving over your phone sir' 'errr well you see I was trying to check the brokenness of my arb's'.....!26 and on the 4th LR..
