Sat Nav volume early D4- too LOUD! |
|
The greatest irritation of the D4 is the Satnav volume. I know it can be adjusted in volume when it is giving instructions but the volume still appears linked to the radio volume and even if adjusted down seems to want to come back up again for the next instruction and wants to compete with the radio volume. There are times when I would lke it at low volume, not linked to the radio volume even if it cuts it out. I cannot find how to do this. Any ideas? Brian - East Sussex

There is an option in the left hand menu button on the D3 to preset the volume, don't know about the D4. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I don't know about the early D4 models, however my MY13 is adjusted by the volume control when the nav is 'speaking'
edit. That'll teach me to read the whole message. my vol stays at the input level I select, however the only way I can stop it muting the radio is to turn voice guidance off.

Press settings hard button - then choose "System" soft key , followed by "Volume Preset" soft key this give you the choice to alter the Info,Parking Aid, Phone, Navigation and Voice volumes Peter

Hi,
maybe that this is functional on a MY2013 - on my MY2010 I gave up and deactivated speech.
Somewhere in the settings you can adjust volume and also you can adjust it with the volume control "when speaking" - but next time it is loud again.
Greetings
