My local cost was CHF1,250 (with new rear pads and no courtesy car!). That's circa £830 - eek!
Second service done at 36,000kms (22.5k miles) and almost 3 years old. I imagined that the front pads would have needed changing too but they told me that they looked OK for another 20,000 kms so I might have a crack these myself next summer.
P.S. This is the second car I have had with an EPB. Previous was a C-MAX and both have chewed through a set of rear pads before the fronts were anywhere nearly done! Perhaps is was how they were set up but the first set of pads on my C-MAX wore so quickly that the rear wheels were often dirtier than the fronts! My Boxster is still happy on its original rear brake shoes and is approaching 100k miles.... MY11 D4 SDV6 SE LHD (with remote park heater, heated seats in row 2, heated steering wheel and rear HVAC controls!)

Weirdly,the light came on last night as I was leaving from the Factory Tour...."1700 miles to service"
I only got a quote the day before as it knew it wasn't going to be far off...£575 with a very detailed breakdown of costs
"1450 miles" this morning....time to start ringing around I think  "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool,than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

I just paid 612 at Hunters, my car is 2 years old with 20k on clock, figured I should have it looked at every year as I am mechanically clueless. I was irritated that they charged me £15 for a litre of top up oil without asking, I refused it and they had to take it off the bill. They also tried to push me to have pollen filters and aircon recharge for £99.
I wasn't overly impressed and won't be going there again, was appalled by the attitude of the sales staff as well, borderline rude when I expressed interest in an RRS.
