EGR valves life expectancy
Flack was due to do some updates on my wife's car today but sadly the thing went in to limp mode.
According to land rover assist fault code p402-22, exhaust gas re circulation slow- excessive detected.
Only had car 2 an half week and in that time it has been with LR for 5 days to have door seal fixed and seat.
I know what the life expectancy of these valves is. The car is 2009 an done 37,000 miles
Thanks

I had my first EGR valves go on my 07 Disco at a round 40k miles and just had another's et put on at 60k. This time only one had gone but decided to replace both
As has been said - not as long as they should !!!

These seem to have an extremely variable life expectancy. I replaced the drivers side EGR myself at 103K miles, the other side is still the original and has now clocked up 110K miles...
