Anyone fitted a D4 touchscreen in D3
Hi all,
sure this may have been asked, but has it been able to plug in a D4 touchscreen in a D3?
I fancy the look of it in my interior and I know the instrumentation does most of the control and whats what so to speak combined with the head unit module, the screen is really just an interface unit.

I will have a ping over to Matt from FFRR as he did something on the rangey similar to get the later screen in.... will give him a shout to find out.FFRR SC 4.2

Sorry I have to ask this robbo770...Would it not be cheaper and easier to just buy a D4? You guys are gonna be busier than a test bench in a plunger factory!

that takes all the full out of it!!!!, bar which you then know ever inch of the car, and know what's new, what's okay and what will need replacing,
by a D4 and you spend all your time getting gearbox software updates by the sound of it anyway!!!!!!FFRR SC 4.2

helloooo everyone greatings from the fullfattrr world.
All your D3/D4 cars use the MOST network for the infotainment system. This is separate to the cars CAN bus networks. The D3/D4 MOST networks are exactly the same and in fact use exactly the same head units apart from the later screens have the sat nav unit built into the rear of the screen instead of under the passenger seat. i have found the following video that might help you out, its based on the range rover system but you will get the idea as the disco shares the same tech

HI Matt, do that mean bar converting the rest of the main plugs and video in to the later head unit all should be golden??

no these are to new and have newer data speeds etc, needs to be like systemsFFRR SC 4.2
