Never heard of such thing, though as I don't have satnav (car being a peasant level S) I haven't really paid much attention.

Calibrate speedo with GPS on a D3?

Never heard of it.

About the closest thing I can think of is tweaking the CCF with a suitable diagnostic tool so it over-reads less then its original preset value.

In the secret menu there is an option to input your tyre size. After doing mine my speedo is pretty much spot on with my GPS reading.

I could be miles out, pun intentional but the only thing I've come across is the ability to re-calibrate the GPS when the car has been on a ferry for instance.

I thought all the 'secret' menu did was calibrate the satnav dead reckoning input rather than the speedo. Are you sure changing this value changed the speedo?

Couldn't tell you if it did or didn't but all I know is the speedo is within 0.5 mph compared to a GPS reading using 285/50/20's

Ah, gotcha. I suspect adding the bigger tyres has corrected the speedo rather than the satnav.

Thumbs Up

OK may have been mixing things up on D3 satnav, there is a button for "select after tyre change".

My D3 speedo was almost spot on, after pushing this and letting the SATNAV do its thing I thought this had influence on the speedo, may have just been a coincedence.

However, on the D4 the speedo is miles off... I had hoped the "select" after tyre change might fix this but cannot find it.
