The population of Tokyo should have left the island by now! Be advised that the road around the North is a magnet for who have left their driving brains on the mainland, and that includes coach drivers. Best food on Skye? Behind the main Co-op in Portree - burger van Best egg and bacon roll in a long time and served with a smile
Cut across from Staffin to Uig. Fabulous views. Also a nice drive down Glenbrittle - lovely, peaceful spot, the dog will love it. Oh, nearly forgot, it might get a wee bit damp

So 12 hours after leaving home, arrived at cottage just after 6, this included 3 stops
Very tired, it`s ceratainly a long old drive from lomond onwards....Max the dog was fantastic and the Disco was superb! Didn't miss a beat and I averaged 32.4 per miles per gallon, not bad fully loaded and doing 630 Miles.
Shattered now but what a beautiful place!
Cheers

Yes certainly made a mistake going via Lomand, stuck at Roadworks for about 1hr, but was sucked in to following the satnav. (Part of the road has collapsed into the Loch)
Just walked Max and he's been swimming the the Loch, pouring down with rain so got soaked myself, but the view is worth it. Only tablet with me, but will upload pics when I'm back home.
I have to say though and sorry to go on about it, but what a car!!!!! I was a little worried about paying out so much money and the running costs, but driving 630 miles sat in an armchair has removed all those worries...
Finally passed a sign yesterday for the Talisker distillery, so will certainly add that to the visit list!

Do they still lock up the kiddies swing park on Sundays on Lewis?
Worked on Lewis Offshore's site many years ago, lovely Island especially on the West side where the Atlantic rollers crash onto the beach all the way from Amerika
