Hello forum.
Yesterday the EPB (from my Disco 3, 2005) started to lock up (screaming noise) so I resume the EPB module might require replacement. This had happened previously and sometimes I was able to release the break by pushing the brake button however this time the alarm signal came up in the display and it stayed.
Tried to manually release the handbreak by usage of the cable and pulled as hard as I could but nothing happened. Eventually The car was delivered to my drive way by road assistance. Obviously the car requires a repair but I am wondering if anybody has experienced this before. I would like to release the breaks so I can drive it to the garage myself for repair.
Appreciate your comments
Thanks Gerrit

You really do need to pull hard on the emergency release cable

Use a hooked tool, like the rod for the Jack, to allow full force. It can take a surprising amount of grunt. Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana
