Australian pick up of new D3 check list

So what things should I be checking that should have been done by the dealer prior to driving out of the dealership? It will be a MY07 TDV6 SE (active diff and adaptive headlights as extras). The car has been built and is somewhere b/w factory and dealer in Dubbo.
I saw some items in another forum but wondered if any Aussies had some input.
In Australia, make sure that there is a towbar and electrics fitted!
Do I need to enquire if the latest software is installed?
Is a full fuel tank standard?
Do I need to confirm tyre pressures (28 rear and 32 front I think?)
 regards
Peter

Hi Peter,
I "borrowed" the checklist from the other thread. Here it is:
-----
1. Check service book (correct owner details, correct spec) number plates correct back & front
2. Check paint work all over look carefully panel by panel, take your time, do the same with the interior
3. Check windows for blemishes and electric operation
4. Check heated window(s) and mirrors
5. Check all doors lock/unlock (Both keys)
6. Check all controls operate correctly
7. Check air suspension at all ride heights
8. Check lights work
9. Check washer/coolant/oil levels
10. Check bonnet lid catch
11. Check towbar, storage and fitting
12. Check tires for marks and obvious low pressure
13. Check spare (Tight spare wheel) tire & locking key (is it the right one?)
14. Check for oil leaks (this is a Land Rover..!)
15. Check tailgate struts
16. Check reversing full lock noise
17. Check fuel level (if they offered a full tank, has it got one)
18. Check PTI/ Phone pairing
19. Check radio/CD (CD’s going in & out – take 6 with you and one MP3 CD)
20. Check Nav voice control talks back as an English Female (if your English that is)

Get the dealer to show you how to set up the memory seats, and the Lazy entry, and Reverse mirror dip position.

-----
I did not have a lot of those options, so it was not real relevant.

Regarding trailer hitch and connections - yes, check it is there. The dealer should show you how to connect/disconnect the hitch and connector cover.

Yes - full fuel tank should be assumed.

Regarding tyre pressure - I didn't bother, as I only had a short run home. I checked at first fuel fill though.

Good luck with the delivery!

Cheers,
Rob

And Peter, recommended tyre pressures are 33psi Front, 36 Rear for normal loads, with the rear increased up to 44 for heavy loads. I have found my D3 (coil springs) to be sensitive to tyre pressures and increasing fronts to 36psi has improved the steering a lot. It's a heavy beast and tends to plough onwards when on loose dirt roads.

You'll love it - apart from the crazy tow hitch Shocked

Remember to keep an eye on the tyre wear. look for uneven wear due to bush settle and get dealer to re-align.
Also keep an eye on the oil as it will suddenly drop as the block is porous and absorbs oil.
Check the spare, mine was swapped by someone at the dealers for a damaged one pre-delivery! Shocked

Software should be the latest especially an 07.

Experiment with the tyre pressures, I have always found running slightly above the reccommended improves the handling. However on dirt the recommended gives an easier ride without handling compromise.
