well we had plann to drive down to our winter home in sunny Hainan but typhoon cancelled all ferries...so drove down to the southern part on the Laos border.
not too far..only 1500kms so gave the LTZ a good bed in
as we travelled mid holiday the roads were quiet.
this is bridge over Mekong river.

now I like bees as much as anyone. but...hornets here have killed over 40 people this year in this place..they are beefy

total 3500kms
avg speed 70 km/h shown mpg 9.1 l/100km
Ltz's have quietened down a bit and road noise is no real problem also wind noise takes over at speed.
great on muddy roads and wet. very happy with them.
usual road issues ..driving on expressway round a bend when an artic came the other way ..in the left lane..dont know about elk test but passed the lorry test.
lorry crashed off a bridge after roadway gave way and ate his wheel...did not survive.
lorry ran off road into drainage ditch after dragging along a wall for a while , guess driver fell asleep.
in the southern part many non express roads only barely surfaced and quite a lot of landslide damage still getting repaired..(car sprayed by tar machine..with tar..thanks dudes)
looking forward to next tripIt is better to have and not need it then need and not have it.
