even drove across Salisbury Plain this morning (by road!) and not a smidgen of snow...plenty of rain though end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......

But dont forget, its only REAL snow when it affects London or the south east.
AlVolvo XC90 B5 Plus Dark
Gone - MY18 D5 HSE - Corris on 22's with Black Pack
Now gone - MY16 D4 SE Tech, Loire Blue, Almond Leather, Privacy, plus some other goodies.
Old - MY12 D4 SDV6 XS Auto - Ipanema Sand with Almond Leather - Plus other niceties, and D4.com sticker
Older - D3 TDV6 XS Auto - Lugano Teal with Almond Leather, 20" Stormers, Shiny Tailpipes, DVD/TV - and obligatory D3 sticker
Ancient - D3 TDV6 S - Tonga with Ebony, 20" Stormers, satnav & DVD
Not wanting to put a damper on your enjoyment of the white stuff down there, but a word of warning......
It's bad enough up here when it snows with accidents etc - and we are used to it. Too many inexperienced drivers - both in D3s and (more importantly) in normal cars will mean the inevitable spate of crunching metal.
DON'T LET IT BE YOU
The D3 is not invincible when traction is at a premium. Also, the guy behind might just find the D3 an attractive method of slowing himself down..... You have been warned

however usuallly down here in the South (East) the traffic speed drops to zero at the first flake so risk sometimes is pretty neglible!!!! end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......

As JMC says 4 wheel drive does not make you invincible.
I saw a Shogun do a near 360 this morning, just going too fast.
I had no problems in my RWD C class Zermatt silver 06 reg.
