Slap a Ticket on an Urban 4x4
The STOP URBAN 4X4’S website says they “are a growing campaign that is uniting environmental, consumer, road safety groups and concerned individuals all over the UK. Our campaign began in London but we are now active in towns and cities across the country.
Through us you can find lots of constructive, creative and peaceful ways to deal with your frustration at the increasing numbers of big 4×4 vehicles on urban streets.
Our goals are to make driving a big 4×4 in town as socially unacceptable as drink-driving, and to increase taxes on the most polluting vehicles, including increases in road tax and a higher congestion charge in London. We are also seeking an end to 4×4 advertisements in the mainstream media.â€
This is a pretty creative action – and also a bit risky! You could end up irking your friends and neighbours – depending on what they drive. So if you feel the courage in your veins visit the site (click below) and print off one (or more) of their ‘spoof parking tickets’. Then leave it on an offending 4 by 4 (perhaps ensure that it doesn’t belong to anyone in your street first!). And let us know how it goes, by email or on your Generous household page.

As mentioned before if any of these jerks put anything on my car they will be spending the next few days extracting bits of paper from an area that the sun does not shine from! Loving the power of the TDV8!

And a lawyer.
I understand that only officials like Traffic Wardens and the Police can legally leave notice on your vehicle ?
If true... maybe we should mass park in Camden one day and collect some evidence

Unless damage has been caused or costs incurred i.e. cleaning a sticker off the windscreen, then the police will not pursue an individual for the heinous crime 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Just had a look at their site and read their laughable '10 reasons not to drive a 4x4' including:
5. You won't have to lie to your grandchildren
Our descendants will be left to deal with the effects of climate change caused by our profligate use of fossil fuels. Drivers of 4x4s should start editing their photo albums now.
10. People won't think you are an 'idiot'
In an ordinary car, you won't get dirty looks from all and sundry when you drive around town, won't have to avoid eye contact with bus passengers, and cyclists won't mouth obscenities as they squeeze past you in a queue of traffic. As an extra bonus, other drivers might occasionally let you pull out ahead of them.
and
9. You will have a better time driving
Big 4x4s are notoriously difficult to park due to their poor visibility close to the car. When cornering, the high centre of gravity of a 4x4 reduces the responsivenesss and takes all the fun out of it. Don't expect to nip away from traffic lights either, due to all that extra weight.
You will have a better time driving
Haven't they ever been off road?
pathetic.........

So when there's a change of government and hunting becomes legal once again it will take their minds off the 4X4's.
