OK, about the boings, to avoid them driving short distances (got to be safe, guys), if the passenger seat is empty:
click the passenger seat belt into the driver's latch. It reaches easily.Blue

Why would you want to do that.
Either wear a belt or disable the boings15 3.0 RRS HSE - Silver

It's much easier! When you're through driving beltless, just take it out and you're back to normal.Blue

Why would you want or need to drive without a belt, unless you had a milk round or a paper round,

I love wearing my seatbelt so much... that I want a 'bong' to tell me when it's time to take it off 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

I often throw my bag on the passenger seat when driving about and it took me a while to work out why I was getting an intermiiant "boing" for no apparent reason. I eventually worked out it was when the bag moved on the seat enough to trigger the seatbelt sensor, going over bumps or around corners would be enough movement to just trigger it but not stay on.
Pushing the bag onto the floor worked for me but it's a useful tip anyway for other times. For anything of much weight on the seat I would tend to put the belt around it for the inevitable time when rapid braking would be called for. It just stops things sliding off the seat and would also stop the alarm.

Use a graphite power in the ignition (key slot) this lubricates the mechanism and should cure your Bong with no keys p[roblem. (its a common issue on P38s too) (Dont use WD40)
