Ok,another thing I have learned tonight...from memory the automatic FBH function on the D3 kicked in at an ambient outside air temperature of below +6c.....and now I'm told the D4 has an auto-start function
of below +9c Confused
One question...why ?.....9c is not exactly chilly Whistle

Poor punctuation perhaps, but you know I didn't mean minus 9, so I made it clearer in my next post with the plus sign!!

As for the change from the D3 to the D4 I understand it is all about emissions. As the readings are taken from the exhaust and don't include the FBH exhaust the faster you get it warm the better.

Bit of a fudge really.

I trigger mine in the cooler bits of summer just to keep it healthy, so triggering it in May is not a bad idea!

Thanks for all the responses. I think I missed one of the CCF changes. I definitely did "Timed Climate" to "Enabled" and "FBH Call Start" to "Radio" but may have missed the third. I'll go and check in the morning.

Wiggs - the manual vent/heat buttons are there, manual vent does activate the interior fan when pressed, manual heat does nothing at all. Suspect that it's my fault for missing the third CCF change Embarassed

Maybe it's wiggs' magic but I switched my timed climate on this week when it was 12* - only because my coat was in the car and I was being lazy- was nice n toasty Thumbs Up

My dealer won't enable the timer for my webasto in my D4 2013 because the webasto (type thermo top vevo 5.0 Kw) is not strong enough!? For timing and remote there is a stonger webasto needed. Is this true, or just a lie to get more monney from me?
grts

There is only one type of Webasto fitted and it is the one under your bonnet. The dealer is mistaken.

I would also be interested in having the remote system fitted.

Very Happy
