Dazzeling Headlights
Does anyone else have a problem with low beam headlights dazzling other drivers?
On unlit roads I get on-coming traffic flashing their lights at me constantly. Car been to the dealer three times and each time they say the lights are fine.

It's normal if you've got Xenons, even if they've been set correct.

Worth checking that the shutters are working ok but I have also seen cars delivered with incorrectly set suspension, so consider getting the tape measure out.

Might just need adjusted down a touch. Had xenons for most of my d3 ownership & never been flashed at, well outside Tunisia where they get the 'ump at xenons.

Thanks. Dealer checked lights with car set at normal height and gave it all clear. I I assume because they are xenons there is no manual adjustment of the lights?

They can be manually set via 2 adjusters on the headlamp. Once set the final vertical refinement is controlled by the EAS.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Update - got fed up with oncoming traffic flashing their lights so went back to the dealer (for the 4th time) and insisted the line up another D4 pointing at the wall and mark the hight of the headlights.
And hey presto, the top line of the light beam on my D4 was some 3-4 inches higher.
Dealer then used screwdriver to manually lower my lights to match the other D4. Not very scientific but at least I won't be dazzling on coming traffic now.
I'm always being flashed in my 2014MY, probably on most journeys at night. Very rarely got flashed on my D3 in 9 years with adaptive Xenons.
Better go to the dealer to have that checked too!TDV6 HSE Lux (2014MY)
