This is going to be very predictable..........
Ordered the black badge kit from 'The Large One' yesterday lunchtime and it woz on the front doormat this morning.
May almost be worth the drive from Aberdeenshire to Yeovil for the 1st service coz the dealership service in this part of the world is Bazza M111

Defender 90 CSW (the one that gets very dirty....)
Lotus Elise (the one that is kept very clean....)
Nice to find someone who agrees with me. I actually drive half way to Yeovil in order to avoid Town & County. Aberdeen to Coniston is where you will find me (and Lakeland Land Rover) The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

Sadly I have to say that my personal experience with T&C Service has been "mixed" - but the general problem in Aberdeen is that demand for staff in the oil industry & the wages paid there are such as to make it very difficult for other businesses.
Given a lot of pushing & literally standing over them!, I have found that T&C can eventually deliver the goods BUT you have had to literally fight all the way just to get what is being paid for Both the Service Manager & workshop foreman have proven capable of delivering the goods eventually but often after having to apply quite unacceptable levels of pressure on them.
Sadly their sales dept can be equally uninspiring, failing to follow up a possible sale but again that is an "Aberdeen problem" in that dealers can sell cars very easily up here with the "oil" & do not seem to think they need to make the effort (but they have very short memories as some of us can think back to the last recession here )

Aye, well, now there is a thing.
Jury is still out on them. They are the ones I bought my RRS from, and they got that a little wrong still waiting for it to be sorted, they have half finished the job and I'm stuck with a half Brunel / half walnut interior and marks all over the brunel bits that still need to be changed.
The did do a good job of installing the iPod ACM unit. Which reminds me I must chase them up again

Bought my Discovery3 from them. Sales team superb. First service done by them no problems. However, when I had problems with the suspension whilst on holiday in Inverness not very helpful.
Never used them, but I am aware that they have the lowest hourly rate for franchised servicing in the UK (allegedly). Apparently, they charge £55 per hour irrespective of the model I have heard of FFRR customers coming up from London for a 'wee break' which is subsequently paid for by the savings in London servicing costs..... Remember now that I had a driver's side wing mirror replaced on my old HSE after having it smashed by WVM (building company local to my gaff so needless to say they do not get any business from the renovation!!!). M&D quoted £250 incl but did it for £200 (still hurt though) and were very good at getting it booked in & done while I waited. If they are looking, sorry for stuffing up your coffee machine, honest!!!

Macrae and Dick know thier stuff and are usually very helpfull, I use them for private and work cars. I find Oggs not to be intrested if it's not one of thier cars, and I think thier parts department doesn't hold much stock.
