Suspension Issue

Morning all

I have come out to my Disco 4 (59 plate 3.0 TDV6) to find it's in access height mode, when I click raise to normal height is says it doing it but nothing happens, I then get an error on the dash saying suspension fault then normal height only and the lights go off from the buttons, the car doesn't raise at all.

is it safe to drive ?

any idea what the problem maybe ?

Cheers in advance

Jason

You will need to have the diagnostic codes read to get any reasonable idea of what's going on.
If its stuck in access mode it will not be driveable. Have a look on here for the member "Flack" I think he's up your way, and by all accounts will be able to help Thumbs Up

It isn’t necessary the compressor. If you’ve come out to it and it’s low then presumably overnight it’s bled down through a leak. The error may be that due to a leak it cannot fill the system before the compressor overheats. Simply as above, get it onto a code reader and diagnose it correctly

I'm not sure on anyone's definition of 'safe to drive' but I did a 10 mile journey to a garage like that - it's a similar sensation to being at sea.

Suspension Fault

Regarding your suspension fault, if the lights are out on the dash, it may be worth checking the fuse under the bonnet. That may not solve the initial problem, but it could get the compressor working again.
