Survival courses

Being an office worker with a real respect to those that "can"and "do" in the real world plus an avid watcher of Grylls(5star hotel or not), Mears and the like, I fancy getting some skills.. Even if my return to civilisation means i will never use them again Smile

So... both of the above do survival/bushcraft but any recommendations from you guys out there?

Next doors brother is ex-sas so would ask him but have to be honest, he's such a serious bloke I'm too embarrassed to ask Rolling with laughter

I've done a couple of "Hairyman Courses" (as SWMBO calls them) with these peeps, great fun and very educational. Just don't believe them when they say if you grasp the nettle firmly enough you won't get stung!! Laughing Laughing

Bison run some great courses.

Can't beat a few weekends a year with nothing but a firesteel, pan, ingredients to make some bread and a bit of fruit.
Puts hairs on yer chest!

Oh...and don't forget the McDonalds on the way home because you'll be flipping starving Wink Thumbs Up

Survival courses in caravaning - that sounds about right.

Here's another vote for Bisonbushcraft Thumbs Up

Run by an ex-forces member who also organises the annual Wilderness Gathering, which again is a great event and good family fun as well as a chance to learn some great skills.

Well yes, but I would rather be at home under the duvet as the pay is much the same.

pmsl, someone I know always maintained that the reason the siege ended so easily was because of the 600 weekend warriors who went in via the balcony!
