Old topic I know but I finally got around to doing this using the diagram and worked a treat.
Only issue I have is that the trailer symbol on the dash only lights when left turn signal is on. When right turn signal is on you get no trailer symbol in dash but the turn signal on trailer is working as it should.
Is this normal? Or have others got the indication in dash when turning both ways?

That’s what I thought but got no idea why?
With my other trailer that uses bulbs it does as normal.
Resistors are all in the same way and relays all working.

It only senses the extra load of the trailer lights to trigger the trailer indicator. Perhaps your resistors are not quite resistive enough?Richard

Maybe but odd that one side works and not the other.
Maybe a dodgy resistor or not connected properly
I got the resistors in the diagram but maybe not enough.
I will have to double check I think. I’m not sure it really matters ?
As long as one side works, the car knows a trailer is on the back.

Sorted!
All fixed. It turned out to be a dodgy solder in the resistor from the factory so was intermittent. All swapped out now.
I put all the stuff neatly in an aluminium box to act as a heat sink if there is prolonged use of the indicators.
As much as the boxes you by look great I have done this to all three of my trailers today and it would not have been cost effective to buy three or fit it to the car as I have other tow vehicles.

Having now sorted the indicators I thought I would add a reverse light so I can see
How ever it seems pin 8’on my 13pin electrics is not actually live.
Has anyone got an idea why? I have checked the fuses in the back and all ok. All three plugs are connected for the 13pin loom.
Does the D3 MY07 have this? I assume it does/ sure it did when I had 7 pin N&S.

fuse for reverse lights is behind the glovebox. (1 for car, 1 for trailer)
Need to ensure the thin green/brown ? wire is connected to the socket and live when in reverse
