Hi guys quick question is it worth changing my air compressor from hitachi to the upgraded amk..
Mine hasn't actually died yet but is beginning to show symptoms and faults when on rough dirt roads.. so I would like to carry a spare that I can swap over relatively easily.. what does everyone think?

Hi mate,
Yes - do it! The only snag is that you'll need to get the software updated as well - as it works at a lower pressure than the Hitachi one.
Re the saga of your head unit - yes, this was done *years* ago by Tammy from USA. She took the speaker outs from the factory amp - then ran it into a processor -then into her new amp. She also replaced the sub with a Pioneer shallow-mount model.
For my previous D3, it only had the low-line (CD400) single CD player - and replaced it with a double-DIN Sony DVD player, a Blaupunkt amp (under driver's seat (where your one sits). I also installed the same Pioneer sub that Tammy used, and replaced the door speakers with Vifa drivers and custom crossover.
Cheers,
Rob
