Everything else checks out fine to the ABS ECU.
The Yaw Sensor is wired direct to the ABS Module and communicates on its own, dedicated pair of twisted wires - so there is nothing else in the way so to speak.
The Brakelight switch, all speed sensors etc - everything - reports perfectly. It is just the Yaw Sensor that is fecked up!

Many thks as wondered about that wire where it goes via the connectors C0583R and C2243R, bet it was great fun trying to get them apart when u checked them,
Imagine that was great fun checking that connector behind the glove box
Also assume it doesn’t make any difference if the yaw sensor and ABS module is second hand or new ??

As mentioned previously - I have bypassed all the connections in the car by running new wires from Sensor up to the ABS Module as I couldn't fully qualify the wiring in the car beyond a continuity check.....so even though they showed continuity they could be breaking down under load so Iran all new wiring as a test...and still the same.

Further to:
EDIT: DISREGARD THE BELOW - I HAD THE TCCM MODULE DISCONNECTED HENCE THE NO CONNECTION AS THE CAN LOOPS IN AND THEN OUT OF THIS>>>>>>doh!!!
Just been out to recheck some readings.....
HSCAN H to HSCAN L resistance reading (battery disconnected obviously) is now reading 122Ohms.....ooooooh!!!!
Disconnected ABS Module - no difference
Disconnected Instrument Cluster - goes open circuit
ooooooooh.!!!!!!
Tried the other ABS module - still reading 122Ohms......oooooooh!!!!!!
Measured continuity on the HSCAN L&H from ABS connector back to the Diagnostic socket - both open circuit.....oooooooooh!!!!!!!
My curious question is - how come I can get the Diagnostics to communicate with the ABS Module and get wheel speed readings, brake pressure readings etc etc if there is no CAN connection??????????????????

Measured the voltages on HSCAN H and HSCAN L again - still reading a 1.34 - 1.37V ......hmmmmmm
So went round unplugging in turn all the ECU's on the HSCAN on my D3
SAS - No Change
EAS - No Change
Terrain - No Change
SRS - No Change
ECM - No Change
TCCM - No Change
EPB - Voltage jumped to 2.02V - ooooooooh!!!!!!!!
I have been having random ABS cutting in on turning right, I have recalibrated the steering sensor and it seemed to go away, but I drove the truck on Friday and it was cutting in when turning say around a roundabout, also noticed a flash of a yellow ! waring light on the dash.
I'll be looking at the yellow ring this weekend and hopefully I can fix it with some epoxy glue.

Hi. I have only just joined as I have a problem with my disco sport 2016. The steering rack went and I took advice from this site regarding the recall. My local dealer has looked at it and have said that it is because of the bolts and have replaced the rack free of charge. They have now said that the steering angle sensor is faulty and needs replacing, which they want me to pay £800 for. Could anyone please advise if this is correct or should this also be done with the new rack? Seems like they are just trying to claw something out of me. Thanks in advance

Hi Sparkyc
Think u done very well there ref the steering rack as I believe there around 2K
So had a look and it looks like the prices vary , found one angle sensor around £240.00 genuine , dependant if it’s heated or not or with or without Head Impact Criteria , saw a few non genuine ones for around £70.00
Being a dealer which charges around £180 per hour plus vat could easily see a £800 invoice
Imagine for an independent garage u might pay approx £400 including the angle sensor , regardless would be a lot cheaper to go elsewhere unless u wish to tackle the job yourself but would need diagnostics after to calibrate it
Hope that helps

Thanks gstuart
Im still arguing that it was ok before the rack went so it’s all part of the same thing. I think if I don’t get anywhere with that I’ll get them to do it as if anything else happens it will be easier to go back
Cheers
