I was about to do something to stop theft of my 19" spare wheel and then had a thought. As well as being proactive I thought of putting my nice shiney unused spare into storage and replacing it with a very used wheel/tyre of little value but will do the job if needed. What will fit? Obviously any D3/4, RRS will but will anything else? (just a thought, I have Adblue - 2016 car)
many thanks Kev

A space saver will fit an adblue car but it uses a different a different wheel winch"Never keep up with the Joneses. Drag'em down to your level. It's cheaper".

A space saver will get you to the garage. A full-size will get you to your destination.
That's maybe a bit extreme, but I went for a full-sized spare (plus Uncle Ray's ScroteStop) on the basis that I very occasionally went off-road and a space-saver would be dicey when getting back to tarmac.
This is all typical of LR (just like crankshaft shells moving). Twelve years ago when this was an obvious flaw they could have included a plastic disc inside all spare wheels to stop theft overnight at little cost.
It would appear that all cars with ad blue are ok - the tank prevents access to the cable.
are you sure of that ? don't think Uncle Ray would be selling hisd "ad blu" versions if the wheels weren't being "borrowed"..
Dean
