Glad you guys enjoyed the opportunity while it lasted.
I just upgraded my TD5 to D£ a couple of months ago and while the TD5 was awesome on snow, hence the reason for sticking with Land Rover, the D£ is formidable on snow.
Luckily I have plenty of snow to practice on most winters.Life is what you make it.
Now I don't know if that was a typo or deliberate, but putting D£ for D3 is genius! I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
While we wait, a couple of pics from my sister in Canada to get us ready (Not sure when/where they were taken but looks like fun)

I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?
I really do not like that is not possibility to use four chain snow on DISCO3!
I'm not sure that, with a lot of snow, is sufficient to have winter tyre or only two chain...
Moreover, LR put as first tyre the normal (not the M+S!) that oblige us to change it with winter tyre immediately (here when snow we must have chain snow OR M+S tyre).
I would not bother with chains. Snow has been so poor here in the Alps this year I am going to buy a load of Camels and start an Alpine Camel Treking Business next winter which they are already telling us is going to be worse than this year.
I use M&S tyres all year round and find them to be fine. Tried to buy snow chains from my local tyre centre and as soon as he saw what car and tyres (Nokian) I have, he told me not to waste my money as I would need very extreme conditions to need chains. Now that is service persuading me not to give him some business.Life is what you make it.
