Made it 8)
I cancelled our roadshow at Chigwell when I arrived at the course, and my D3 skidded down the entrance ramp and nearly took the car park barrier out
If I was almost out of control, the punters would have definitly crashed in there lesser vehicles. As the club did not have salt/grit or any staff to clear the car park I decided to cancel. 50 phone calls later, I set off home.
It snowed heavily all the way from Chigwell until I got to Chesterfield. Heated windscreen really came into its own keeping the wipers clear.
10/10 for the gritters, they seemed to have kept everything well salted and all main routes were fine. 4 1/2 hours journey time is not bad for a day like today
Dusting of snow in Bramhall.

If he had a couple of braincells he wouldn't be driving a van for a living. Sadly these neanderthal's are allowed to vote, which explains a lot.....
It's also a sad fact, that these people do not need a permit to be able to breed. I'm all for certain elements of our unbalanced society to be genetically controlled and a full breeding permit authorisation policy introduced.

All I can say is the D3 is bloody amazing in the snow.
Drove back from Andover and it took me nearly 7 hours - most of this was from 15 miles a way from home too.
South Shrops / Worcs was mullered... and she never skipped a beat once the lesser vehicles had got out of the way or given up trying to climb any slight slope.
And DSC round the corners where the surface was very slippery made me smile. A few noises and the D3 was back in line again - no fuss or drama.
Even offered a few tows but apparently those I asked preferred to push

Some greenie idiot is selling snowballs on ebay...wonder if he'll get the buy it now offer.
How can we help? 1. Sell the SUV's, Trucks, and large vehicles we own if we don't need them. I drove a Toyota Tundra and sold it for a Toyota Yaris that gets 40 miles per gallon. I will likely buy the SMART car in 2008 when it comes out as it gets 60 miles per gallon in Canada. 2. Write to our legislators. 3. Take office 4. Pray 5. Vote 6. Recycle 7. Grow your own vegetables and do canning, 8. Grow trees (lots of them). 9. Burn wood for fuel (but replace a tree taken from the soil for one you grow. 10. Buy a toyota or honda hybrid. (force the american car companies to tip their hand and make more fuel efficient cars- then buy american). 11. Support local farm markets. 12. Eat healthier- non preservative types of food as it does affect your mental state of mind. 12. Turn the tv off 13. Join an environmental group 14. Support local farmers 15. support young entrepeneurs 14. Run for president.
Maybe I'll do #14!
EDIT: Sorry don't mean to hijack, carry on with your snow chatter....I'm just jealous. I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?
