To add to the file...
Dropped car in today at dealer to be looked at.
Apparently LR are aware of the issue and have asked dealer to run SW tests in order to track down missing features. Affects 'S' spec vehicles from what they said.
Will post as fixed if it is later today.

Still no Settings Menu on my 'S'
Apparently according to LR this menu is not a feature of the 'S' and should not appear.
If it is appearing on any 'S' the setting changes won't take.
The dealer is advised to remove these settings from customers 'S' D3's in order to avoid... my Settings Menu does not work issues with customers.
Would have thought that having this feature enabled would not detract too many people from buying an SE And we would be able to enable drive away door locking. A pretty vital feature in my opinion these days.

Am under the strong impression that the Settings Menu is a feature of all cars with the Hi Line Message Centre. i.e. those from Entry 7 upwards that have TR fitted. Message Centre required for user interaction.
Still no call back from LRCS on this though. Other owners have had this feature from new and all works (except reliable FBH setting). Even present on Entry 7.

I have the TDV6 5 Seat with TR and Auto Air Con. This has given me the Trip Computer. I have had steering wheel radio controls fitted but my dealer is unable to activate the Settings Menu, he has no option on his computer to do so. My vehicle was registered April 05, I think build was in March. It seems that the earlier builds were able to be activated and LR have amended the software. I also have the Cruise switches but again LR say you can't activate this feature unless you order from factory. AAAAAAAARRRRRGH!!!

The latest version (9) of the diagnostic software seems to go some way to address this issue, for those who don't have a settings menu.
Personalisation Settings On Low Line Vehicles
On High Line vehicles, there is an option for the driver to change various settings via the Instrument Pack. On Low Line vehicles this option is not available and the diagnostics have been updated to offer this feature via WDS.
Settings that can be changed are:
• Headlamp delay
• Auto Door Lock
• Reverse Mirror Dip
• Lazy Entry
• Instrument Pack Language

So John,
Does that mean that on my 'S' with high line MC I can now get my Settings Menu ?
Just had version 8 of the vehicles software... is this another update ?

No, it doesn't mean that. We know that you cannot have the settings menu as your vehicle doesn't have the seat memory gizmo.
What it does mean, though, is that the issues relating to problems setting the user settings via the T4 system should now be resolved - and if you tell your dealer what you want set, they will be able to set it for you (I seem to recall that they may have done this already for you?)
The version 8 software you refer to is the vehicle software, the version 9 I mention above relates to the diagnostic software.

It links the driver seat and mirror settings with the key fob.

Scorpio
I think that you hold the ..... ( I will just go out in the cold and check )
Right sussed it.
Close all doors then press and hold the lock and unlock buttons together for three seconds. Indicators flash and door locks clank.
Now all doors unlock with single press of unlock button.
repeat process to revert to single point entry.
