Service dept at the Dealer suprised me today |
|
Took the car in for the dealer to look at the tyres as they are scrubbing the inside edges, and to book it in for a few other rectifications.
I wanted the PDC update, and the Infotainment update, expecting them to act dumb, they were right on the ball, "ah yes sir, will take us a day, but no problem"
The only downer is they told me that my car needs a 4 wheel alignment check, but they have not got the D3 alignment software yet. I presume they can get it, but it is a bit concerning.

Had my alignment checked by my dealer who had it done in their Porsche premises, where they have a system for checking the Cayenne. Hope it's compatible with D3.
That was about 3 months ago and all is well.

Gareth, my D3 has exactly the same issue but I haven't yet had a chance to get it to my dealer to have it checked. My dealer has said that scrubbed tyres due to poor tracking wouldn't be covered under warranty but I undersand from others on this forum and an American LR3 forum, that the same problem elsewhere has been fixed under warranty with a contribution towards the cost of replacing the tyres. Would be very interested to know what the outcome is for you. Disco 4 TDV6HSE
