Just to add confusion there are some 10 plate D4`s out there with the 2.7 in them!!!I can resist everything except TEMPTATION

Also Aviva who operate Land Rovers free 7 day insurance policy for new vehicles say there is no such vehicle as a Discovery 4 SDV6 so are unable to insure them

Maybe the lower powered TDV6 210bhp is a new introduction ????
Will check with another dealer tomorrow

My 2010 HSE is Badged TDV6 but has a SDV6 Engine 245bhp
Checked it with a dealer to be sure
Think its a Badge thing for 2011 ?

Roy - your dealer is right.
As Ent said, the name change only happened "after MY10" or "from MY11 onwards" in other words.
MY10:
2.7 (190bhp) badged as "TDV6"
3.0 (245bhp) badged as "3.0 TDV6" (what is now called the SDV6 engine)
MY11:
2.7 (190bhp) was dropped
3.0 (211bhp) is badged as "TDV6"
3.0 (245bhp) is badged as "SDV6"
If yours was built in April 2010 then it is definitely a MY10 build which means that it has the same 245bhp engine as the MY11 SDV6 motors, but it is still badged as a TDV6.
Just out of interest (and to check my facts), is yours badged "TDV6" or "3.0 TDV6" ?

I was referring to Ent's way of describing it as "after MY10" (does that mean after MY10 was launched or after it stopped being produced ) which is what Mr Lance quoted and obviously got a bit confused from.
