I am sure it has been said on here before but in black looks like a TRANSIT.
Silver is by far the best colour for the design (check all LR Advertising and DVD marketing etc) however if the lines are sullied with steps, rubbing strips it might as well be any colour as it will look cr*p

You could also quote from the Gumball Rally :
Franco: And now my friend, the first-a rule of Italian driving.
[Franco rips off his rear-view mirror and throws it out of the car]
Franco: What's-a behind me is not important.Dr. Ian Malcolm:
"Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
Transgenic tomato anyone?

IMHO and I know nuthing . the rear DVD screen thingy is a waste of money unless you have kids. never ever used ours and the games would only suit a 2 year old.

What? noooooo tell me it isn't so!
Chris I think the trimmings of the Met. will go nicely against the silver body. (can't believe I just said that )I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?

Black, Silver...which is best...well I'd say BLACK, wouldn't I.
But, maybe it's my feminine side coming out, but I quite like the look of the D3 in WHITE!!!!!!
Like Silver, it shows up the black trimmings [and MUD] nicely, but it's not as 'popular' [didnt' want to say 'common] as the other colours.
There...damn it!!!....i'm out the closet....now where did i last leave my white pvc stillettos and handbag?? ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

I like silver and black equally A silver D3 with HSE wheels and tinted black windows with Alpine Roof and a silver-tripped side step does it for me. But then a black D3 with completely black windows and silver side-steps and the odd silver bit here and there is pretty damn "cool" aswell... 8)
We went for silver because it "looked the nicest" - simple as that. No side-steps or tinting on it though.. 2007 Porsche Boxster (987) 2.7
2008 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE G4 Challenge (1 of 68)
2023 Defender 90 D250 X-Dynamic HSE
As you say, the silver looks good in the marketing pictures but I bet it is a to keep clean.
Plus Silver is the most popular colour car, so why not be a little more individual.
The black is very cool esp if you see the Project Kahn version but again I know it is difficult to kjeep clean.
Me I like the grey (regardless of what name they give it)
I want to drive it, not stand there cleaning it !
Personal choice I guess.Stornoway HSE MY07 with Body Colour side mouldings.
