I persume these are pretty easy to fit on your own? Dealership reckons they will charge £304 for the privelege. 06 Bonatti Grey HSE, Ebony Interior with Privacy Glass & Rubbing Strips.

The strips use automotive grade double-stick tape. You simply need to clean the surface, position and level the pieces to the correct location... and stick. It's a "one hour" charged job around here.

Why don't you download the fitting instructions from www.ownerinfo.landrover.com , then you can see what it involves and what is included.
PS. This site doens't like Firefox, so use IE. Matt

I think they removed the free account requirement for the owner info site a while ago.

I had to disable Norton Internet security to get the pop up window, but don't forget to turn it back on.

I know it sounds stupid but it’s worth getting the dealer to fit if you want them now the ambient temp has a lot to do with how well they stick! If you do it and they turn up at the ends it might be hard to get another set (could always use the fit for purpose rule). If however the dealer does it they have to replace under warranty. But it is your choice

Must adimit that I had a replacement set on my first D3, and the same on this my third one, all under warranty, because the dealer made a cr@p job of them.
I fitted the second set on my first car to get them right.
The doors need to be clean, dry and free of polish. Preferably it should be warm aswell. The diffiicult bit it getting them to line up. A chinagraph pencil putting measured dots to get the height the same L-to-R and the odd dot on after a trial hold against the door before peeling the backing off, really helps.
Then just wipe the chinagraph pencil marks off.
This is because there wasn't a template, and I think they still come that way.

£304 sounds a bit steep to me, I have just been charged £193 for supply and fit by LR dealership. If you decide to fit yourself, you should be aware that once they are stuck...they are stuck. Get it wrong and you chance removing the paint if you try to debond the moulding. Remember you've got four chances to get it wrong. I would phone round and locate a dealer who will quote you a fair price. *Disco3 7-seat Auto
