Rolling with laughter Dunc I'm always in the sCensoredt its just the depth that changes Laughing took me a life time to get home traffic was a nightmare Rolling Eyes Was home for about an hour then had to shoot off to Cornwall and pick up a chop saw,She was well impressed Laughing but i did take the kids to redeem some brownie points Wink Just got in with a bag of curry easily please Thumbs Up

I could of stayed all day playing with that meccano set you have 8) I can come up Thursday evening to pick that thing up if you can't get to me in the week :thumbsup:And a big thanks to you also Thumbs Up Wanted D4s non runners pm for competitive price.

finally managed to finish off installing the lights and then GOD gave us light Mr. Green Thumbs Up

Well, no point rushing things and getting it all finished while the evenings are still light and you can't use them Wink

Very interesting pics. Couple of Qs if you dont mind:
- Are your normal lights halogen or xenon?
- The LEDs are they spot / flood or combined type?

I'm still very tempted but would like to do something on the roof.

leds are spot, although they seem more flood when they are on. and the normal lights are halogen - not as bright as the D3s xenon....

compared to the 4 x LF140s I had on the D3 they are definatly brighter in the close range, but dont project as far (LFs copuld project about 1000m Thumbs Up ) - however, the spread and brightness if light at the closer range I think is much better for the LEDs.

may get 4 x more to mount on a roof rack at some point in the future Duncan

Dunc, how did you splice into the main beam wiring, did you find a junction further back, did you strip the wire and solder onto it or did you scotch lock it? Did you go for a switch in the end so you can turn them off or not and if so where did you fit it. Started to run wirning and fit switch for mine today. MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Woody32 spliced the main beam wire for me

The blue/black wire

Then ran it to the aux battery box and put all the relays etc in there,

Ran wire to footwell through firewall and put switches in the side of the centre console Duncan

Got switch mounted on the end of the dash between door and dash, Mark came up with it and it actually works really well, out of sight but still accessible. Wiring run into the aux box and relay mounted in there. Got to sort the splice out, not to sure about that yet, bit nervous about that Big Cry MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Dunc, im not sure if that part is replacerable but if not im sure we could either leave switch there when sold of fill the hole with a gromit or somthing like that Thumbs Up
