| Reverse sensor fault - will IID live data help? |

Hi All,
First post here (though long time LR owner) having just bought a 2013 D4 
Bought the car with a known problem with parking sensors (which are fitted front and back). When putting the car into reverse a loud solid warning tone comes on and stays on (light on the reverse switch stays on).
Having been around all the sensors, they all make the 'clicking' noise when close to them, so not able to identify the fault that way.
Does anyone know if I get hold of a IIDTool, does it give live data for each sensor which may help to identify the fault?
Trying to decide between getting a IIDTool, or a D4 license for the MSV2 (which I currently have for Defender) but if live data on each parking sensor is available on IID I think I will get one of these based on the reviews on here!

Yes data available on IID, cant remember exactly what but I have seen it on mine I think you can adjust the sensitivity as well and get someone to walk past the sensors and you can see it working/not on the IID tool

it will tell you which sensor is faulty/not working but not live data as such just sorted my rear sensors as it told me inside rear right faulty Discovery 3 se gone
Range rover sport supercharged here:)

it told me which sensor was faulty, although in your case it may be something else. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

OK, thanks.
I have been in touch with Dan to try and get one of the last group buy ones, so will see what it says.
Any other common faults to be aware of that could cause this?

If you get a continuous tone, and the light is flashing, then a fault code will be stored.
If you get a continuous tone, but a solid light on, then the system doesn't think there's a fault, but a sensor can be not telling the truth. So looking at the live data can show which one, it will show one showing close distance.

So for anyone looking at this in the future, using the IID you can see the distance to object for all sensors front and back at the same time as live data. When walking around the car the readings change for each sensor showing it is working.
For me, the front inside right is constantly showing 0.1M even when nothing anywhere near it, so assume this sensor is at fault and responsible for the constant tone. I have updated the CCF to 'rear only' for now so the front sensors are disabled and all is well with the rear sensors working as they should.
Just got to work out how to change the inside front sensors now. The outside ones can be changed when the fog lights are removed, but can't see an easy way in for the centre ones. Is this a bumper off job?

Takin the bumper off is easier than you may think. Sometimes the screws underneath will break, but no biggie. Bodsys Brake Bible
