Should this be in the "Maintenance & Mods (D4)" section?
New windscreen
New rain/light sensor
New auto-dipping rear view mirror
New loom to wire it all up?
New headlamp switch
Enable it all with the Nanocom; even then it might not work.
By the time you've finished spending, you could probably have bought an XS/HSE anyway...
Just buy a D3 S; it has it all already
To be honest, you're not missing much with auto-lights. They don't work very well and typically don't come on before it becomes too dark anyway on mine. I don't think the sensitivity can be adjusted either so you are largely at the mercy of the light sensor you have installed.

Thanks Steve, yes not worth it if I need to install a windscreen with the sesor fitted. I wondered if this was a retrofit sensor...
Mods, can you please move to the correct section? Sorry I clicked the wrong one. On an iPhone Justin

Re: should I have bought an XS/HSE anyway > I had the choice when I bought this.
The difference to me was sat nav, leather and cruise. I worked out I could spend £2,000 and get all the things I wanted. If I bought the XS, the difference was 1 year older (6 speed gearbox, and 1 year sooner to have MOT and additional warranty) plus £2K more deposit and about £50 more per month on finance...
I believe I made the right choice, but also do kinda wish I had the entertainment screen fitted but won't miss it too much.

Personally I wouldn't bother going to the expense of having them fitted (if possible), my previous car had them and you only had to drive a long a tree lined road and they would be on and off all the time making it seem as though you were flashing your lights.
Plus it would change the sat nav screen over to the night time view so that would be flashing away as well. After that experience I have to confess to not even trying the auto lights in the Discovery, so the Land Rover system might be much better and at least the sat nav screen has no night time view to distract either.
