Removing Sikaflex from caravan roof
Does anyone know how to remove Sikaflex from a caravan roof ?
ive removed the majority of it but now need to clean the remaining bit. Sikaflex say it cant be removed chemically and needs to be scapped off. but it wont budge with a plastic scrapper and if I use a metal one or a knife i'll sratch the roof.
I was hoping to be able to remove it without the need to respray the roof Duncan

Dunc, I find it softens with cellulose thinners and then comes off with a plastic scraper, just be cautious that the thinner doesn't soften the paint too Altox GSM FBH controller thread

I use Sikaflex products on the boat a lot, both sealant and adhesive/sealant.
The only thing I've found that gets it off hands is Babywipes.
Any brand appears to do it, cheap or expensive.

Travis Perkins do some wipes that gets it off as does a Stanley knife blade, but you have to be careful it doesn't dig into the aluminium.DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone
