Another brilliant weekend in Kielder !
Apart from a murky start to Saturday, the Sun shone all weekend ...
Stunningly clear night skies round the fire.....great local food and beer
, a great campsite, pretty quiet at this time of year....and whisper it,but even the camping was "enjoyable"

Aha...that explains the distance markers spray-painted on the walk round Kielder water....
Yes Ian,my carefully cultivated persona as the family may be in danger
There was an observatory Stargazing night, which we didn't get to as the evening in the Pheasant went on longer than anticipated but it must have been a spectacular night for it.......kids are already asking when were going back, and we've only been home a couple of hours which is a good sign....
Just got to wait till the dog-sick in the boot dries and Hoover it out tomorrow..... "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...
