Reduced Performance Warning. |
|
Im driving my wife's CRV today as this morning i set off and within a mile all of a sudden i had a red warning light informing reduced performance!
Turned round as I was less than a mile from my house pulled up at home switrched engine off hoping it would be that simple and waitied a few minutes. On start up light had gone out but with 20 yards of driving down the road the car started to splutter and it felt like it woundnt either select the right gear or fuel starvation.
I mention fuel starvation as i rang my local dealer to be told that there is a recall regarding the fuel pipe?
So ive covered 27500 miles in just under a year. The car apart from some minor faults ( sunroof refusing to close ) has been fantastic bar the Iphone niggles. I have a 520D Se arriving in a few weeks and normally i would of not want two expensive vehicles to run / depreciate but I cant think of a better family vehicle than the discovery and the wife has fallen in love with it and wants it instead of the crv.
My wife has spoken to Landrover Assist and she informs me that they were very helpful but i know my local dealer is fully booked till the end of January!

Just been informed that landrover assist have already been and have taken the vehicle away. They are dropping of a car later for me.
The chap did mention that they,ve had quite a few with this fault recently but said it shoundnt take too long to fix. Hope so as driving my 55 plate crv is a bit of a step down regarding the comfort side.
Fingers crossed that this will be just a blip in what must be the best all pruned vehicle vie ever owned!
