Rear Ladder
Hi,
Has anyone purchased and used the after market rear ladder, its the one located on the right hand side and fits over the door.
I've seen one at a company called Powerful Uk Ltd for £65, however this seems almost to good to be true!
Any first hand knowledge would be appreciated, or a pointer to another supplier. i don't fancy spending £250+ on the genuine accessory as it will only be used 2 or 3 times a year maximum.
Thanks

This comes up pretty often. Yes there are some on here that bought it. It's a subjective thing. Some like it some think it looks hideous. I'm with the latter
I was in the same situation as you. Genuine ladder way too expensive. Consider having one made up for you. Here's one which I whipped up in a weekend based on the original, with the help of a welder friend. Total cost of materials ... around £15 for the galvanised steel pipe and some scrap steel sheet to make the brackets. Rental of pipe bender for the weekend and paying my welder friend some beer tokens... around £70 (forgot the exact figure). Add primer and spray and total cost is still under £100 and if I hadn't made a slight mistake when measuring I would have enough steel pipe left over to make another one!

I got a pre-used one for about the same. If I was to make one I would stick to the same basic design but add a couple of rungs to the bottom. The gap from the last rung to the bumper is HUGE - especially if your are descending and forget.A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.
I put a Prospeed one on mine, had a genuine one on the D3 but quite liked the lower rung idea on the Prospeed.
