O that looks straight forward enough I thought it involved cutting the body and also inside of inner wing The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
They just make the best of everything they have.
Thanks chaps I will have a think bout it The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
They just make the best of everything they have.

To fit the Safari Snorkel you need to cut the inner wing to run the pipework to the air filter box, but RAI is easy by comparison. Have done both!==================================

Realy are simple to fit, if i remeber correctly, remove vent cover, drill two holes in the wing and fit riv-nuts, drill b pillar cover, fit riv-nut to existing hole in b pillar, refit cover, fit spacer, bolt RAI in place, fit top, job done.
I Assume you mean A pillar? Is A pillar easy to drill ???

I think the hole is already there, you just have to make it bigger. That's if I'm reading the instructions correctly!

I do and no they are basteward, which is why thankful unlike the Safari Snorkel which needed three holes drilling in the A pillar, the RAI makes use of an existing hole that just needs enlarging.==================================

I looked at the Mantec website, and it lists two RAI,
RAIDS3 and VPLAP0018
What's the difference. Other than price.........

The RAIDS3 shows it fits the D3 only, the VPLAP0018 shows it fits D3 and D4..........I have no idea what the difference is though as I thought they fitted exactly the same!

I was talking to a D4 driver who said that his RAI was quieter than those in D3's that he has driven.
His RAI did not appear tot have the slots in the front of the intake head.
I am looking at the Mantec RAI's but want to make it waterproof somehow........

Just spoke to a lady at Mantec again to see if they have thought anymore on doing a better group buy price but she is waiting on a directer to come in who she can discuss it with, hopefully I'll know in a few days.
As far as the two product codes.......it's exactly the same item but the VPLA is the product code for Land Rover and for Mantec to sell them as their own they need to dedicate it with their own product code, being RAIDS3.
But whichever part number you order you will receive the same item.
